Registering to Vote
Voter Qualifications
You may vote if:
  • Are a citizen of the United States
  • Are at least 18 years of age on Election Day
  • Have been a resident of the City of St. Francis at least 10 days prior to an election

You may NOT vote if:

  • Have already voted in this election
  • Are still required to report to a probabtion or parole officer because of a felony conviction
  • Have been ruled incapable of voting by a judge

Registering to Vote
  • Register online through the State MyVote website. This website is very easy to use and is the fastest method.  Once registered, you may also request Absentee Ballots directly through the website.
  • You may register to vote at St. Francis City Hall Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  There is no in-person registration at City Hall on the Monday before an election.  
    • All registering voters are required to provide proof of residence showing current name and current St. Francis address.  A corroborating witness may no longer be used. (Proof of residency forms are listed on the back of the voter registration application.)
  • Registration by mail must be postmarked no later than the 20th day (3rd Wednesday) before the election.
    • First-time Wisconsin registrants registering by mail must also provide proof of residence showing current name and current St. Francis address. 
  • Register at the polls on Election Day. 
    • Election Day registration requires that you provide one proof of residence showing current name and current St. Francis address; a corroborating witness may no longer be used.
    • Driver license or state ID # must be provided if one was ever issued.
  • Download the Voter Registration Form  (EL-131) from the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board website
