Health Department Hours

The St. Francis Health Department is open Monday - Friday 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.  If you have a life threatening emergency please contact 911.  If you have a Public Health concern that needs immediate attention after hours, please contact the St. Francis Police Department at (414) 481-2232 and your message will be forwarded to a Health Department Representative.

The St. Francis Health Department, in collaboration with community partners have created a City of St. Francis Community Health Improvement Plan: Healthiest St. Francis 2016-2020.

Health priorities were identified and steps were developed to achieve improvement in the communities health.

Since May 2018, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has received an increased number of reported cases of flaccid myelitis (AFM), a serious condition that causes weakness in the arms or legs.  During 2018, CDC has confirmed 38 cases of sudden onset AFM in 16 states.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health (DPH) has confirmed two cases of AFM in Wisconsin residents during 2018 and is currently investigating other possible cases.
