City of St. Francis New Police Chief
The St. Francis Police & Fire Commission has appointed David K. Feldmeier Police Chief for the City of St. Francis. The new Chief of Police will be introduced during the Common Council Meeting on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026.
Chief Feldmeier was previously an Inspector in the Executive Command of the Milwaukee Police Department, overseeing the Patrol Bureau. In his 29 years of service, his career assignments have included patrol officer and supervisor, Harbor Patrol boat operator, SWAT tactical operator and team leader, and Internal Affairs Investigator and supervisor. He is also a certified Law Enforcement Standards Board (LESB) instructor in Unified Tactics, and adjunct instructor at the Milwaukee Police Academy, and a trainer in Fair and Impartial Policing.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, and has earned the professional designation of Certified Public Manager from the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Command College through the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
