Police & Fire Commission

§ 17-8. Police and Fire Commission.

1. How constituted. The Police and Fire Commission shall consist of five citizens, three of whom shall constitute a quorum. Citizen members will serve staggered five-year terms. No appointment shall be made which shall result in more than three members of the Commission belonging to the same political party. The members of the Commission shall serve without compensation. The Commission shall keep a record of its proceedings.
2. Powers and duties. The Police and Fire Commission shall have all such powers and duties as are prescribed by law, by this Code or amendments thereto and by § 62.13, Wis. Stats.
